Fox ran his hand through his hair as he talked.
"Well A in Hex is 10 right? If we multiply 10 by 16 we get 160. Now we have two A0's in this code so that would mean um 160 plus 160 is 320."
He looked to Nona as if in confirmation
"As for the 7D..., we could times 7 by 16 to make... hmm let's see 112? Then as D in Hex is 13 we can just add the 13 to get 125."
He seemed confident with his analysis
"So lastly we can just add 320 and 125 and get our answer.. 445."
He looked at Nona
"Did that make any sense? Or am I missing something here?"

She looked over at the TV.

Picture on wall:
- It showed people sitting at three tables in a garden, each draped with white tablecloths. Each table had a red, blue, and green chair. At the first table, two women were sitting in the red and green chairs. At the second table, two men were sitting in the blue and green chairs. At the third table, two other women were sitting in the blue and red chairs.
- The frame of the picture seemed built right into the wall.

Fox pointed to the figures
"Here. We have two women in red and green seats, over here are two men in blue and green and lastly two girls in blue and red, now let's consider the riddle again"
He stroked his chin
"So maybe we should swap the seats like this"
Fox pointed to the table with women sitting in red and green seats
"So, for example if we moved the woman in the red seat in table 1 to the red seat in table 3 then it wouldn't really change anything, but if we move the green seats then we have a mixed gender seating plan. A red seated woman next to green seated man and a blue seated man next to a green seated woman."
He looked to the girls
"Am I making any sense here?"
