Suddenly, a voice rang in his mind. "Look in the right drawer again, since all the office supplies got in your way the first time."

He fought through the raining supplies and opened the right drawer for a closer look.

What was left in the drawer was a black key. It was taped right to the bottom of the drawer, as though it was meant to be seen after falling for the trap.
Key: - A black key, taped to the bottom of the drawer.

" How could I have missed that?"
He wondered aloud, before prying it out with his fingertips.

The key came out easily, just like the brown cup. The remaining tape fluttered off the key as he held it in front of him.

Looking over his shoulder, Fox darted towards the cabinet, now more or less familiar with he anti grav procedure.
" Come on, please be the right key.. get in there you little"
He twisted the key in the keyhole.

The wooden cabinet opened successfully. Once unlocked, the mere momentum from removing the key caused the cabinet to open all the way.
Wooden Cabinet: - It was very dark inside the cabinet. Fox couldn't even see the back wall of it clearly. - But from what he could see, it contained neat rows of vacuum-sealed packs, each containing some sort of snack food. They were all dry and dehydrated, as if prepared specifically to be stored in a gravity-free environment. - The rows were all fastened to the floor of the shelf. However, there appeared to be something trapped under one of them.

"Hmm"
He was looking for a card, but food was food, his stomach took this opportunity to growl in greeting. Fox started picking through the small packs, barely registering the words on the packets, he stuffed a number of them into the opposite pocket to the one holding the dice duo and the multiple pockets in his jeans. When he was satisfied with his haul, he looted through what was left until he located the hidden object.

What he found was not one object, but in fact two. They were dice, each the same color as the one he had found on the desk.
8-sided die (first): - A green die, with 8 sides.
8-sided die (second): - Another green die, with 8 sides.

Fox picked them both up, frowned and took out the die and cup.
" So what?... You want me to put all three in here? "
I wasn't until he was jiggling all three dice together in the cup that he wondered who he was talking to.
On closer inspection, he realised that the dice were different. Two were 8 sided while the first was six sided.
" What the fricking hell?"

Then another problem entered Fox's mind as well. How could the dice be rolled onto a surface, without the help of gravity? Was there was some other force that could be used to mimmic a gravitational pull in this room?

His eyes drifted to the escape hatch
" Yeah, I'm not sure I want to get near that thing.."
He looked at the drawers, maybe he could roll the die inside one, without them flying away.

Both drawers were still open. It wouldn't have been hard to test his theory.

He scooted over to the drawers, took a deep breath, and rolled the dice.

The dice all bounced wildly inside the drawer. With the walls containing them, none were able to fly away. 20 seconds passed... and that didn't change. In fact, they hadn't even begun to lose speed in their bounces.

"Come on you stupid pieces of plastic junk!"
Fox carefully and slowly shut the drawer, hoping when he re-opened it, the dice would have set.

Another 20 seconds passed... The dice still hadn't lost any speed. Momentum carried them indefinitely, with no gravity to pin them down to a surface. There was, after all, no such thing as "up", "down", "left", or "right" in space.

Sighing he collected the dice and cup together again. There had to be something else.

Fox heard another screech from above him. It was the latch... it was getting closer and closer to opening the escape hatch.

He thought about what else in the room he could use, mind full of his time limit.

What he needed was some other kind of pulling force, to make up for the lack of gravity. Had he already encountered that? If not gravitational force... what was it?

Fox zoomed over to the metal desk and tried rolling them there, remembering how they acted like magnets.

The dice bounced up and down on the metallic desk, as though they were being pulled down to it by gravity. Almost perfectly mimicking the behavior of dice on Earth, they eventually finished bouncing, and rested on the desk.
The six-sided die landed on 2. The first eight-sided die landed on 1. The second eight-sided die landed on 4.

"Alright"
Fox breathered.
" 2 1 4 "
He started thinking aloud
" 6 X 2 is 12, 1 X 8 is 8 4 X 8 is 32 "
Musing these equations and other ideas in his head, Fox floated around the room, a vague thought popped in his head. He moved towards the alarm clock and attempted to set it 2:14

Unfortunately, pressing the buttons had no effect. They seemed to be jammed in, so as to prevent the time from being changed.
Digital alarm clock: - The buttons were jammed in, making it impossible to adjust the time. - The clock didn't have a power-cable coming out of it. - The current time was 11:36 AM. He had 3 minutes left to escape.

"Damn it!"
Fox fought the urge to smash the clock to smithereens. Instead he darted to take a closer look at the card reader.

Card reader: - A key-card reader, attached to the wall by the door. Has a slit for a key-card. - The word "Life" is printed on the front, in yellow text. The number "9" is printed below it, in brighter yellow.
There didn't seem to be anything useful here.

Fox moved quickly to the bookshelf, he looked for anything that was connected to those numbers.

Bookshelf: - The shelf had 3 rows of books, each holding 9 books. This made 27 books in total. - The 4th book from the left, on the topmost row, was red. All the other books were grey. - Each book was held in place by a clamp. Fox could only assume that this was to prevent them from flying out of the shelve in this gravity-free environment. - However, it looked as though he could unclamp a book to take it out, if he wished. - There was a small sign on the wall next to the shelf. It read: "For the safety of the crew, only one book may be removed at any given time."

Fox automatically grabbed the odd red book, and tried to free it from its clamp.
