Under the stove: - The screws came out easily with the screwdriver, allowing the panel to come off.
Behind the panel: - Inside was the mechanical guts of the stove: The wires, boards, heaters, etc. - A single wire was missing, however... the one that should be connecting the 'on' switch' to the main board.

Hidemi adjusted her glasses as she eyed the unconnected 'on' switch.
"...Hm. So that's all that was wrong. A missing wire."

"...Really? That's it? No hidden puzzle, or convoluted trap? Hell, I'll take it."

"Well, let's not get ahead of ourselves. Do any of us actually have a wire to complete the system?"

Admittedly, no, he did not.
"Well, we don't need it. At least, not to cook one of the bags of food. If I remember correctly, the ravioli doesn't actually need the oven or the stove to cook it. We do need hot water though, but we have plenty of that. That's the only thing I can think of at this point, unless any of you have some bright ideas."

"I'm up for the ravioli! If we could figure out how those buttons on the trick oven work, we could bake the chicken and fish too."

"We could also chop vegetables to make a salad. Another option would be to mash the potatoes, assuming no one minds them cold. Of course, we'd need some kind of serving plate in order to hold them."
She looked to Wataru, who had the ravioli in his coat pocket.
"Shall we start with the ravioli, then?"

"It's a good starting point, at least."

"Sounds good to me!"
Wataru took the ravioli pack out of his coat. Drifting over to the water dispenser, he read the instructions aloud.
"Fill pack with boiling water using water dispensing apparatus... I assume it means this thing."
He put the pack up to the water dispenser, and opened the little tube on the end. He pulled the switch to "hot", and let the water start shooting in. He turned his head back to the others with a smile.
"Ya know, this isn't the kind of food I get to see every day. Back on Earth, I've pretty much lived on ramen the last few years."

A more curious side of Blake took over, as it seemed like Wataru could have been opening up to the rest of the group, if ever so slightly.
"That's not exactly healthy. Any reason why you would live like that?"

"Ah, you know. Tough times at work..."
Wataru let out a carefree laugh, though it seemed slightly forced.
"Food's expensive nowadays."

"Hm, I suppose it is."
Not one for small talk, Blake struggled to find a conversation topic that wouldn't raise any alarms with Wataru, but would give Blake insight about who one of his possible opponents would be. Given his past experiences, it helped to know one's weakness.
"Tough times indeed. Although I'm sure you'll get back on your feet eventually. There's bound to be more jobs available somewhere even if your current one doesn't work out."

"Huh... yeah, I guess that's true. Maybe one day, I can live the good life of ravioli every day! Ahaha."

"...Yes, err... maybe one day."
Hidemi decided to join in on the conversation, and take her mind off of things too.
"What kind of work do you do, if I may ask?"

"Who, me? I'm just a regular office mouse. How about the two of you?"

"......I work as a secretary. I keep records, take calls, and make appointments."
She looked over at Blake.

Blake gave a suspicious glance to the two of them. He could tell they were definitely hiding something.
"As for what I do for a living? I'm currently in between jobs, which leaves me with a lot of time in my hands. Lately, I've been tending to my home garden."

"A home garden, hm? I'd never have guessed."
Hidemi looked down at Wataru's pack of cooking ravioli.
"Well since we seem to have hit a brick wall in this conversation, why don't we let that cook and resume our escape?"

"Well, we shouldn't have stopped to talk to each other for so long...Time is precious, and we need to conserve it as much as possible. I wonder what else we can do in this room."

Hidemi looked around the room for anything that they may have overlooked during their first sweep of the room. Her eyes fell on the serving table they had seen when they first entered the room.
"I believe I may have an idea of what Zero expects us to do here. Has anyone noticed the similarity in available food and what's written on the menu?"
