"You trying to make fun of me? Pretty sure he can see us no matter what."
Mei pointed up to the camera on the ceiling in this lounge room.
"Cut the 'strong' act and git in there."

Fox couldn't help laughing a little.
"I'm going, I'm going"
He spun around and headed back into the bathroom.

The door closed behind him once he made it into the room. It felt much more cramped than he expected, with barely enough room to turn around. Now fully inside the bathroom, he could see all of its contents.
- Bathroom -
Front: - Toilet - Toilet seat - Toilet paper - Handhold bars
Behind: - Hand-washing station - Tiny cabinet - Light switch (on) - Bathroom door - Vacant/Occupied lock
Ceiling: - Dim light (on) - Camera

"All right then"
Looking around the room, he had a few ideas and went for the most obvious choice first.
"What do we have in here?"
Fox attempted to open the tiny cabinet.

The cabinet opened smoothly.
Tiny cabinet: - It contained a dirty rag and some soap. The rag was wrapped up kind of unevenly. - In the very back was an electrical outlet.

Fox picked up the soap and the rag, wondering what possible use they could be, giving them both a quick once over, his eyes were focused on the strange structure of the rag. Placing the soap back into the cabinet for now, Fox spread out the rag.

Dirty rag: - The white rag was covered in dirt and gunk. - As Fox unfolded it, he a small white card floated out of its entrapment. It seemed to be a list of instructions.
Chess instructions: - Pawn: Moves one space forward. Two spaces on its first time. Only captures diagonally. - Rook: Moves any number of spaces vertically or horizontally. - Bishop: Moves any number of spaces diagonally. - Knight: Moves exactly three spaces, and must make a 90-degree turn after the first or second space. Capable of traveling over other pieces. - Queen: Moves any number of spaces in any direction. - King: Moves one space in any direction. Kings are not allowed to move into spaces that put them in danger of being captured. If one finds itself in a position in which it is unable to escape capture no matter which direction it moves, the game is over. *Note: Players may not "pass" on their turns.
[Instruction card added to Fox's archive.]

Fox thought back to the chess board they had all seen earlier.
"This will come in handy I suppose"
He looked back at the soap, frowning, well if it was needed he knew where it was, same goes for that electrical socket.
Fox shut the tiny cabinet and maneuvered himself around, he decided to investigate the toilet paper, maybe there was some information written on it.
Feeling a little like a cat, Fox attempted to unwind as much of he paper as he could.

Toilet paper roll: - The roll of toilet paper spun stiffly as he unwound it. The long snake of paper floated around the room, filling it with white swirls as it became more and more free. - At the very center of the roll, he found one final piece of toilet paper. It had a peculiar message written on it in yellow pen, just barely visible to his eyes.
"If you seek the golden truth, reverse the code found only in darkness."

"......Okay...?"
What outside of Earth could that mean? Nevertheless he filed it away in his memory, who knows maybe it would help them all get out of there.
Fox though hard about what else he could do in here, he remembered in a lot of noir fiction, the detectives found clues hidden in toilet tanks.... there didn't seem to be much of a tank, but he decided to investigate the back of the toilet anyway.

To his dismay, he had trouble getting behind the toilet, as it had no apparent "behind" to begin with. It was just a hole in a block protruding from the wall.

"Shoot. Thought so"
Well it was worth a try anyway. Fox looked up at the ceiling, glaring at the camera, on a whim Fox gave the camera the finger. He also noticed the dim light suspended there. He gazed around the room until the found the switch.
"What the hell?"
He flicked the switch onto "off"

The light turned off, making the room completely pitch black. In this darkness, he couldn't even see his hand in front of his face.

It was a good thing he was't afraid of the dark, Fox stumbled around a little but to his intense disappointment, there were no secret glow in the dark messages.
Growling, he slapped the light back on.
He was about ready to blow this joint, just a couple of last things to check out first.

The light turned back on, bringing a dim light back to the room.

Fox moved closer to the toilet and lifted the toilet seat up, maybe there was a message underneath?

Toilet seat: - It showed signs of having been cleaned recently, possibly by Nona. - However, there was no message underneath.
It occurred to Fox that, perhaps, there was nothing left in the room to be found.

When he came out, Mei was busy checking out the TV screen. She turned toward him, and spoke.
"You're out. Hope ya washed up after touching whatever gunk was in there."

"......." He swallowed hastily
"Never mind that, let me show you what I found"
He showed Mei the card with chess instructions.

"Whoa...!"
Mei grabbed the card from Fox immediately, thinking it was a Life Card.
"...Huh? This is just chess instructions. I don't need dis."
She tossed it behind her back, and returned her focus to the TV screen.

TV screen: - It was built into the wall, across from the couch. About 3 feet wide, and 2 inches thick. - The monitor had a power button in the bottom right corner, with a number pad above it. - The screen was off.

Fox sighed and drifted past her to pick up the chess card again.
"So, what's up with the tv?"

"I got no idea, but this thing is hella big, huh? Only screens I've seen bigger than this are at the theater."
Mei's face showed a hint of amazement at the size of the 3-foot wide screen.
"And check out how thin it is... like 2 inches! Must be some expensive shit."

Fox deliberated on whether or not to tell her a similar television was sitting in his own lounge back on Earth.... probably wouldn't be wise.
"Does it work at all?"

"Let's check it."
Mei pressed the power button on the TV.

The TV display lit up, and turned on. All that appeared was grey fuzz, but it seemed to be in working order. Three "-" marks in the upper right corner suggested that you could input channels with 3 digits.

"Great. Maybe we can watch ourselves"
Fox muttered with as much sarcasm as he could manage.
"So, three digits huh? Any ideas, or should we rummage around for a clue or something?"

"Beats me. Play with the TV all you want. Not like I think a Life card's gonna magically pop out of the VCR or something."
