"Bzzt, bzzt, bzzt."
The case buzzed at him in denial. He must had put in the wrong code.

Hiyato went for a classic and input "1234"

"Bzzt, bzzt, bzzt."
Wrong again. Guessing didn't seem like a good strategy.
Hiyato was running out of time. The hatch above him seemed to be merely 20 seconds away from opening.

After thinking for a moment, Hiyato input 8486.

"Beep beep."
The green case finally opened. What he found inside was two items. A yellow key-card, and a...
Yellow Key-card: - A plastic yellow key-card. - Has the word "Life" printed on it in dark yellow. Below it is the number 9, in a brighter dark yellow.
Small knife: - A small but sharp knife, which can be held in one hand. - The blade is retractable. - About 4 inches long.

Hiyato took the keycard and the knife out of the book, and put them in his pocket.
"Haha, yeah!"
He floated back over to the door and used the keycard with the scanner.

"Bee-beep."
The scanner beeped in confirmation with the key-card. Slowly, the exit door swung open inward, allowing Hiyato to escape at last. It was just in the nick of time too. The hatch above him was on the verge of opening.

Hiyato rushed through the doorway and began dancing.
"Yeaaah, I did it!"
He was so happy. He had seriously thought that he was going to die for a moment. When he realized that someone was probably watching, he quit dancing and quickly reverted his composure.
"Whoever you are, you're not gonna get away with this."
He mumbled and began to decide what to do next.

He was now in a thin hallway, lined with square doors identical to the one he came out of. It was a clean white color, and slightly brighter than the room where he had woken up. Each door seemed to be fastened shut by metal clamps on the wall.
The large door had closed behind him just as he exited the room, and was fastened shut with similar clamps. He could hear the hatch open on the other side. Through the door's window, he watched as all the office supplies were sucked out into space, followed by the brown cup, and everything else that had been loose in that room.

Hiyato sighed in relief as he watched everything fly out into space. A moment later, and he would be flying out with the office supplies. He turned back to the hallway and decided to investigate it for a way out.

Just then, he noticed something else, however... his bracelet. The screen had changed.
Minutes ago, it had displayed nothing but "- -", as though it had not been set. But now that he had escaped the room, the bracelet mysteriously displayed the number 9.

"Nine... Nine what though? Ah, for the love of Odin, this is too complicated."
Since he had no clues onto what his bracelet meant by "Nine", he decided to go back to investigating the hallway.

As he had seen upon entering it, every other door was fastened shut. The same had happened to the door he had entered from. If he wished to investigate further, he had no choice but to float down the thin hallway of doors and see what awaited him.
