"RIIIIIIIIING!!!"
An ear-splitting noise rang loudly in Hiyato's ear, waking him from his slumber.

Hiyato snarled as he slowly rose up from his sleep. He yawned, and then opened his eyes.
"W-what the hell? Where the hell am I?"
His heart beating faster and faster, Hiyato quickly calms himself by taking a deep breath.
"Man, what the hell happened?"

The small room before him was a dim-white color. So dim that it nearly reached "gray" territory. The lights were hardly bright enough to see from one end of the room to another, but he could see enough to know that he had never been there before.
He was in a sleeping bag, which had visible tears and creases all over it. A night-table with a digital alarm clock stood to the side of the bed. This, no doubt, had been the source of the ringing. A few feet away was a circular window, no wider than 2 feet in diameter.
As more objects came into his focus however, he realized something startling. He felt... light. Almost as though there was nothing holding him down onto the bed. As his sleeping bag loosened, he could feel momentum pulling him up into the air.

Hiyato's eyes widened as he began floating in the air. He started freaking out, thrashing violently.
"What is this? What is going on?? Is this...magic?"
His heart fluttered a bit at the thought. He had always had a love of the unknown, but he also feared it. He decided he needed to find out where he was. The room was so dim that he could hardly see, and he had a hard time moving while floating around.
"Damn it... Maybe this isn't magic at all. Am I in an anti-gravity chamber or something?"
He couldn't remember anything, and this enraged him.

The room appeared to be a bedroom of some sort. Though it wasn't a clean one. In addition to the bed, there was a metal desk not far from him, and a wooden cabinet on the other side of the room.
As he continued to float around, he came near the window again. It was definitely night time. But if he were to reach forward, he could pull himself close enough to look outside. Perhaps that would contain hints to his location.

Hiyato pushed himself through the air. He saw a metal desk, and a wooden cabinet on the other side of the room from where he had been sleeping.
"A bedroom? Huh, I wonder why that stuff isn't floating."
As he floated across the room, he came near a window and decided that he should look out.
"It's night time, it seems, but maybe I can find out where I am."

Peering out the window, he saw a startling sight. There was nothing but stars and space as far as his eyes could see. Small pieces of debris slowly passed by the window, only proving that his eyes weren't deceiving him.

Hiyato rubbed his eyes. Were they deceiving him? Could this astonishing sight really be reality?
"Space... I'm in space. No, this has to be a trick! This can't be real! I can't be in space!"
He banged his hand against the wall and growled. How was he even in space?
"I've gotta get back home... Somehow."

Just then, he noticed something else. On his left wrist. It was some sort of bracelet... unlike any he'd ever seen before. On the top was a screen, giving off the impression of it being a digital watch. However, it didn't display any numbers. All it showed was "- -". Two dashes. As though there was nothing for it to display yet.
The bracelet was quite tight on him. A little uncomfortable, even.

Hiyato noticed a bracelet on his left wrist. Odd. It actually kinda looked like a watch that hadn't been set. It was a little tight, so he tried taking it off but it wouldn't budge.
"Weird. Kinda feels like i'm under house arrest, though with my arm instead of my leg."
Hiyato was a little hungry, but he realized it wasn't the time. The floating was actually making him a bit nauseous.

Hoping for a way out of the room, he looked around for an exit. It wasn't long before he saw a door behind him. It was dark gray, and had a square shape, suggesting no one side of it to be "top" or "bottom". Without gravity, it didn't make a difference either way.
The door didn't have any apparent knob, however. He didn't see any way to open it... except for a button. There was a small red button to the side of the door. It was couple feet to the side of the door, and a dim glow emanated from it. Above it was the text "open". Perhaps it was connected.

Hiyato was studying the door that he had just found.
"How did I miss this?"
He looked to the side of the door and saw a button with the text "Open" above it. This felt strange, but figuring he didn't see any other way out, Hiyato pressed the button.

As soon as his finger pressed the button, a speaker above him turned on. Out came a robotic recording of a female voice.
"You have selected to activate the emergency escape hatch. In 9 minutes, the hatch above you will open, allowing you and the contents of this room to be sucked out into the deep vacuum of space. If this action was made in error, please scan your Life card here. Otherwise, we hope you enjoy your stay in space. Have a nice day."
As soon as the recording ended, a metal box of some sort popped out of the wall by the button. It appeared to be some kind of key-card scanner. But before he could make sense of it, he heard a creaking sound come from above him.
In the center of the ceiling was a large hatch. This must have been the one referred to in the recording. A large wheel-shaped lock kept the hatch closed, putting a safe wall between him and outer space. But something wasn't right... the wheel was slowly turning, creaking with each inch.

Panicking, Hiyato quickly began looking around for the key card.
"No, I can't die here."
He decided to check his surroundings. Hopefully, he would find something useful. He remembered the room had a metal desk and a cabinet he could check. He decided he would examine them.

- - - SEEK A WAY OUT - - -
- Observable objects: -
Left side: - Bed - Night-table with alarm clock - Metal desk - Chair at desk - Circular window
Right side: - Wooden cabinet - Tall mirror - Bookshelf - Exit door - Key-card scanner
Ceiling: - Emergency escape hatch
Looking around the room, Blake saw that most of the furniture wass built into the wall/floor. That must have been be why stuff wasn't floating around everywhere.

Hiyato decided to check the metal desk first. He floated over to it and examined it.

Metal desk: - It seemed to be made of metal. It was built into the floor of the room. - There was a green 6-sided die laying on it. Oddly, it wasn't floating. - Near the die, there was a brown dice-rolling cup taped to the desk. - The desk had two drawers. A right one, and a left one.

Examining the desk, Hiyato found it strange that the six sided die on it was not floating.
"Hm... That's strange."
Disregarding it for the moment, Hiyato decided to open the left drawer.

What he found inside was nothing interesting. In fact, there was nothing but dust inside the drawer at all.
Left drawer: - Nothing but dust inside of it.

Nothing in the left drawer. Hiyato was getting restless. He realized that maybe he would need that die for later, so he picked it up and put it in his pocket. He then proceeded to examine the right drawer.

But before his hand reached the drawer, something occurred to him. The dice had taken some extra force to remove from the desk. Why was that?
Thinking back, the dice had not been floating in the air like it was supposed to. Perhaps it was magnetic? The desk was made of metal, so it was entirely possible.
Having realized that, he then opened the right drawer. He was greeted with a flood of pencils, paper, and other desk-tools, flying out due to the lack of gravity. The objects a blocked his vision from the drawer as they spread out in the air. One pencil made its way toward his face at a startling speed.

Hiyato was startled as the office supplies flew out of the desk. He felt stupid for forgetting that there was no gravity in the room. He noticed a pencil going towards his face and grabbed it before it could impale him. He pushed the supplies out of his face and tried to look within the drawer to see if there was anything similar to the die he had picked up.

Only one thing remained in the drawer when he could finally see into it. The item was taped to the bottom of it, as though it was meant to be seen after falling for the trap.
Key: - A black key, taped to the bottom of the drawer.

Hiyato grabbed the key, untaped it from the drawer, and put it in his pocket. He decides to examine the wooden cabinet next and floats over to it.

He arrived at the cabinet. He could still hear the constant creaking of the escape latch above him.
Wooden Cabinet: - The cabinet was a few feet to the right of the bed. It seemed to be made of a strong wood. - Upon trying to open it, he found that that it was locked. There was a keyhole on the right door of it. - There was nothing else of interest on or near the cabinet.

"Well, what a surprise."
Hiyato said this sarcastically. He pulled the key out of his pocket and attempted to unlock the cabinet.

The wooden cabinet opened successfully. Once unlocked, the mere momentum from removing the key caused the cabinet to open all the way.
Wooden Cabinet: - It was very dark inside the cabinet. Hiyato couldn't even see the back wall of it clearly. - But from what he could see, it contained neat rows of vacuum-sealed packs, each containing some sort of snack food. They were all dry and dehydrated, as if prepared specifically to be stored in a gravity-free environment. - The rows were all fastened to the floor of the shelf. However, there appeared to be something trapped under one of them.

Hiyato opened the cabinet and was delighted at what he saw. Snacks.
"Awesome, but i'll eat these later."
He stashes a few snacks into his pockets, then he continues to investigate the shelf. He noticed something trapped under one of the rows of the shelf and he attempted to lodge it free.

It was difficult, but he managed to pull out what was stuck under the food. What he found was not one object, but two. They were dice.
8-sided die (first): - A green die, with 8 sides.
8-sided die (second): - Another green die, with 8 sides.

Hiyato quirked an eyebrow at the sight of the dice. He wondered if this was some sort of game for someone. He picked them up and put them in his pocket with the other die. He decided to check the bed next so he floated over to it and examined it.
