"...Hmph. Eight clean knifes. And this is what we've got for the numbers..."
He went on to speak aloud the remaining LP of each player.

Just so you all know, the puzzle isn't to figure out who the murderer is. It's not like I'd make it possible to solve this early. That would just kill the story's buzz. >__>

Yeah, Blake gets it.
If someone killed Hidemi... then their bracelet should have gained all of her LP when she was killed. But no one has any extra.

The puzzle was "What is wrong with the numbers?". Not "who is the killer?" What kind of screwed up mystery writer would make it possible to solve the murder immediately, the minute the body is found?

The players all realize that something is very wrong with the numbers. If one of them had killed Hidemi, that person should have gained extra hours on their bracelet. But all of their remaining LP checks out.
They want to further delve into this topic, but time is of the essence. They decide not to waste time talking, as they still have a Life Card to find. Two people are selected to move through the Door 7 rooms, in search of the card they need.
The first chosen is Wataru, as he has already opened Door 7. He can get back in for free. However, the only other person who's gone into that door is dead. Who should the other person be?
(Hint for the best ending: It's not Fox, Mei, Blake, or Akane)

They ask Numb to go inside with Wataru. He's not opposed to it. He presses his palm against the toll panel, and 7 LP is deducted from his bracelet.

Wataru leaves one last order behind. He says not to move from the spot they're in, until he returns. For all they know, a murderer could be among them.
With that, the two of them enter through the door, to find themselves in... the Fitness Room. The room is tainted with the smell of blood, and its small red stream floating about like a liquid rope from Hidemi's body. There are exercise machines about, as well as a variety of other muscle-training tools. It's time to escape.

First however, we'll see what's happening with the rest of the group, outside this door...
The remaining group heeded Wataru's words not to leave the room while he was gone. It was true... a murderer may in fact be among them. For minutes, the players all looked each other suspiciously, slowly losing trust for one another. Finally, one spoke up...

Blake's eyes shifted amongst the players.
"It's possible that said person had wanted to sneak into the other room under the guise of searching for possible clues, only to slip out unnoticed. The other players would have been in the separate room. You can't deny the possibility."

"Yeah, he's right. Didn't the first section of Door 1 have two rooms in it? There was the Sickbay, and that research room with the computer. Someone could have snuck out then, and we'd just assume they were in the other room. Plus, we were all pretty absorbed in solving those little puzzles, half the time we were in there... especially you, Fox."
She smirked teasingly.
